Victor Creed
Interview by Jamie Dobson

From Detroit, Michigan
6’0”, 227lbs

What made you decide on a wrestling career?
Even through high school… I was voted prettiest eyes for guys and Most Likely To Become A Professional Wrestler. The Eye thing I could take or leave … But the wrestling vote was almost a sign. Lol. I started watching wrestling in 1977. Yeah…That long ago. It was what I wanted to be and what I wanted to be good at.

With SCW…I was the first ever… And since some of the belts have been retired…The only Grand Slam Champion in SCW. I won the SCW Hardcore Title when I was totally against hardcore wrestling. So I trashed the title and made it the SCW Mid Atlantic. Which in time that belt became the SCW Southern Championship and I held that one too. I was half of the SCW Tag Team Champions. And I’ve been multiple SCW World Heavyweight Champion.

How many years have you been at it?
I step foot into my first ring in 1993, wrestled til about 2006 or 2007. Came back briefly in 2008. Then I was out totally until late 2012. Been back since hitting it harder now than ever and in only 5-6 matches I’ve regained MY Prize Possession that goes around my waist. I add the “waist” line because MY REAL Prize Possessions will always be my Family, Friends and the Fans.

Tell me about your career at Southern Championship Wrestling
My career at SCW has been great. It’s just a class act organization. As I stated prior I’ve held about every belt I could hold except the Cruiserweight Title.. Nothing on VC is Cruiserweight. And I was the First wrestler ever entered into the SCW Hall of Fame; which was a great honor.

How does SCW differ from other federations you have worked at?
SCW differs from others solely on how it’s run and who runs it. Chris Carson just puts on a great show. He cares about his wrestlers and definitely the fans. SCW is only going to get bigger and better as well as Always be the longest running Indy wrestling promotion in Florida.

What’s the story of how your ring name came to be?
My ring name? Lol. Yes it can be found elsewhere. It is based off a comic book bad guy who was violent, Strong, Fast, Healed quick and aged slow. It wasn’t until about 2005 or so did the
Wolverine movie come out and the name Victor Creed was used throughout. The funny thing is even the character looked and dressed and acted like I do every day in the real world for me. It just fits me. That and I was GIVEN the name in 1992.

Do you work singles only or tag as well?
I worked singles and tag team with my brother and tag partner Jason Hexx as “Bad Intentions”, who is truly one of the best technical wrestlers mixed with power, speed and just a bit of violence I know till this day. We held about 8 tag team titles and went thru a lot of tag teams before we split to singles.
“The Road to Heaven is paved with Good Intentions… But the Road to Championships is paved with Bad Intentions”

What is your finisher – how did you come up with it or who inspired it?
My Finisher… Lol. Oh boy. The Final Cut Neckbreaker. The crowd would chant “MOST TORQUE EVER” when I hit that move. And the phrase just stuck. I am the Generator of the Most Torque Ever! The Final Cut! 1.2 seconds! DON’T BLINK… YOU MAY JUST MISS IT!!!!
It’s the sickest and fastest Neckbreaker I believe in the game today. You either go with it freely or forcefully or look forward to a torn neck or a blown out knee. It’s a move I’ve knocked one guy unconscious with outside the wrestling ring because he kept instigating a fight because he wanted to take the move. So… I gave it to him. Another guy broke his arm taking it. On a Neckbreaker?? Lol. It’s a move that makes you want to say the following quote….
“It’s much better to be the Hammer… And Not The Nail!” Lol.

What is and any story behind your entrance music?
My entrance music is an amazing rock band out of Orlando called Fall of Envy. If you can ever get their cd and you like rock then it’s for you. I met the band and became great friends with them. I use the song “Face to my Fist”. Nuff said.

What is your most memorable in ring moment?
Most memorable in ring experience would be the four way tables match for the SCW Heavyweight Title. It involved Jason Hexx, Bam Bam Mancuso, Livewire and Victor Creed; just one of those great matches that had wrestlers with different styles.

Do you have a favorite match?
Well since my return I’d say anytime I step foot in the ring with London Vice it is match of the night; mainly because our styles are totally opposite. But my all-time favorite would be Creed vs. Hexx for the SCW Title. One word. Epic.

Any interesting tattoo stories you would like to share?
Tattoo stories ?? Lol. This interview is in depth!! Lol. But it’s obvious both my shoulders are done. And after I got my first one I…. Victor Creed… Actually hid it from my mom for years. Now I don’t live at home nor a minor… But my mom was Not one to mess with. Lol. And one
day we were clothes shopping and she wanted me to try on a shirt. Well she knows I’m not shy so says “just take your shirt off here and put this on real quick”. So I started to remove my shirt not thinking and suddenly stopped and said “Oh yeah mom… I’ve been meaning to tell you…”
Luckily she really liked it and I’m still breathing today. ;-). I miss and love you Mom.

Is there one thing on your personal side you want your fans to know?
My message to my fans? That I bleed and break and sweat for them. That I promise I’ll leave nothing in the back when I step foot in that ring and that it’s my passion to wow every crowd each time I wrestle. As I said before… ” If I am truly the Generator of the Most Torque Ever… Then YOU ARE ALL THE BATTERY THAT CHARGES ME. So thank you. ”
I honestly believe that the louder the crowd cheers before I hit the Final Cut the faster the move is. I get so amped up when they are behind me it’s scary.

Any memorable road stories you would like to share?
On the road with Hexx, Black Nature Boy Scoot Andrews, Hack Meyers, Classy Chris Nelson and Me?? None that I can repeat. Lol.

Who has been your toughest opponent to date and would you face him again?
Well there are guys like Vordell Walker, David Mercury, Dagon Briggs and Hexx. But not one would I NOT face again. You see I love a hard hitting match. My reputation for being violent was very known thru the 90′s; Which is way I SO look forward to Creed vs. Amazing. But I’ll get on to the Florida Champ in a bit.

Who would be your top five dream opponents or matches?
Dream matches in the Indy’s? Wow. There’s So friggin much great talent out there and I’m sure during my time off new talent has emerged. I just want to go up against the best. Line all of us champs up and just let us go! But to individually pick some I’ll have to do at a later date.

Is there a ritual you do before matches or a lucky charm you bring to the ring?
Well I barely eat much day of show. Big dinner night before and maybe a powerbar til I get done. Then I’m stuffing my face again. I keep to myself day of show. I’m in straight Victor Creed mode day of and sometimes not the friendliest. When my music hits and I come thru the curtain; It all gets unleashed.

Are there certain Indy Feds you would like to work with but haven’t had the opportunity?
Ohio Valley Wrestling I’ll make my journey to as well. It’s one of the Harvard’s of Indy Wrestling. Would just be fun to unleash the Final Cut there.

Do you accept fan mail?
I get fan mail thru my email (Mulekick1970@yahoo.com), Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/jamie.dobson.9 … 60?fref=ts
and texts. I always respond and it makes what we all do worth it.

Who has been your biggest inspiration in life?
I’m a spitting image of my Dad. He’s a great man and friend. My Mom loved me beyond words and I miss her every day. But it’s probably my Grandpa Roberts who just passed away at 96 years old. He was the glue to our big family. He lived by himself for about 30 years. He is a survivor. Strong willed. And Heaven gained a great man when Earth lost one.

Who has your biggest feud been with?
It’s these two pain in the butt pretty boys Vice and Armani. Vice is everything opposite of me in wrestling style whereas Armani and my moves are very similar. But these two tools cross every personal line they can. I truly… From the bottom of my heart… Enjoy beating them up.

Do you have suggestions to promote Indy wrestling or the business in general?
Suggestions for the business. Don’t we all? Lol. But I need to pass them by Carson first so I’m pleading the 5th now.

What effect has wrestling had on you and your life?
Wrestling has been nothing but a positive effect on my life. Except for the 8 broken bones and 7 concussions I’ve had nothing but positive results. It’s made me who I am today.

Do you prefer Heel or Face – Have you been mainly one or the other?
I have been both Face and Heel in my career. I think I prefer the Face. I do this for the pop of the crowd. The cheers. To know they enjoyed your match and that they have a Champ who will fight the fight for them makes All the prior injuries worth it.

What is something completely out of character you enjoy doing that is unknown to your fans?
Lol. Something I enjoy doing ?? Besides working out and cooking? I’d say I really enjoy killing zombies on Call of Duty. Lol

How often or how difficult is your training routine?
I workout every day. It’s pretty intense and I go thru workout partners like I go thru opponents. It keeps me young… And strong.

Where do you see yourself in 5 years?
Under bright lights. In front of big crowds. And being the Champion.

Do you have a message to upcoming new wrestlers?
To the men AND women just starting in this business; Learn as much as you can. Listen as much as you can. Perfect your style… Your character… Your moves. Don’t get discouraged if it starts slower then you wish. Patience pays off. But mostly … BE PRO WRESTLING.

Pro wrestling… To the few that just KNEW IT at a young age … It’s not what we do. It’s who we are.

Do you have a message to your fans?
To my fans… I can’t thank you enough. I’ve gotten so much support lately it’s crazy. I promise to put 110% of me in every match for each of you.

Is there one thing you want everyone to know or remember you for?
Well besides having the sickest Neckbreaker? Lol. I guess I just want them to know I never gave up. That I was a Champion that made them proud.

Are you currently accepting bookings? How can they contact you?
I can be booked thru email. Mulekick1970@yahoo.com
