Devon Dudley was introduced and cut a promo saying that he had met Ryze a few years ago after puttin on a show. Unlike many others that may be rude and a little self center Ryze was very professional. He was honored to be at the show and talk to Devon. He then said how honored he was to have met someone like Ryze.
It was about one minute after the Devon was done something strange happened. The lights went out. Some may say it was technical difficulties. Many agreed that it was Ryze simply saying hi. Saying fantastic job to this point in the show. it was at this time that a short intermission took place to get the lights back up.
Jason Hexx d. Tommy Marr
After the match when Hexx had gotten to his feet me and a few others yelled something that was very familiar in SCW during one a Ryze match. It felt right to do it after Jasons match due to the fact that he was Ryzes best friend and tag partner for so many years……..”6’10.. 6’10 6’10″ It took a 2nd try before a few others joined in. Hexx then gave a short speech that everyone was family. That he appreciated everyone coming out to see the show and being part of an event for a special person and a Gentle Giant.
Naphtali d. Kahagas
A video package was played that contained a battle royal with the last two men being Ryze and Matt Morgan. Morgan pinned Ryze to win the match and led to Matt Morgan being introduced. Like Devon he had nothing but praises for Ryze. He also stated that it was him that asked for the clip to be shown. The first match between him and Ryze was the first time Ryze had faced another big man as tall as him. To further add, Matt had said how before during and after the match Ryze had said how it was an honor to wrestle him. He also felt cheated that Ryze had not gotten the chance to go to TNA or WWE.
HBX/Snow d.Eric Cooper, Teigan James and Micheal Patrick
Scotty 2 Hotty d. Simon Sez
The last of the three people to talk was Jesse Neal. He came into SCW when he was training to be a wrestler. Hexx and Ryze were the two that had taken him under their wing and helped in what way they could. He was one of the reasons that he kept going the way he did. That when he gets to the top Ryze will be there also with him.
After Jesse and Christina had left the ring two videos were shown. Both had different pictures of Ryze, ASO and various assorted pictures with two different songs. There wasn’t a dry eye by the end of the videos.
Tommy Marr won the 6-10 Ryze Battle Royal
Chris Carson came out and thanked everyone for comin out as well as being part of a show that paid tribute to a Gentle Giant with a heart ten times too big.
